Pride in Cook County, MN

Our Mission

Our mission is to foster a safe, healthy, and empowered queer community for residents and visitors of Cook County, MN.

We accomplish this by:

  • Producing large-scale annual events, in which we celebrate our presence, acknowledge our history of marginalization and commit to building a better future.

  • Creating social events throughout the year; safe and intentional spaces where folks can enjoy a consistent social life with other queer folks and allies.

  • Providing educational outreach, in order to develop a common understanding of queer history as well as a common definition of allyship.

  • Attending city and county meetings, and other public forums, in order to advocate for Cook County’s queer community.

  • Collaborating with local residents, organizations and businesses in their efforts to create a community which visibly displays its commitment to supporting queer identities.
